Jason L. Boyd received Ph.D. in Toxicology (2003) from the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy. His graduate work involved preclinical pharmacokinetic characterization of novel nucleoside analogs and physiologically based pharmacokinetic modeling of carcinogens in drinking water. Following his graduation, he joined the Pharmacotherapeutics Laboratory at the NASA Johnson Space Center whose activities include among other things pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics research, therapeutic drug monitoring, specialized therapeutic monitoring for spaceflight-related pathophysiology, novel dosage form development, and pharmaceutical stability assessment.
