SECOND
BIENNIAL SPACE HUMAN FACTORS WORKSHOP
|
||||||||||
The pursuit of knowledge
doesn't wait for budgets to be approved or for individual projects to be completed,
nor
does it always move in a linear fashion. Science moves forward due to the efforts
of individuals and communities
of individuals, across generations and across time. Mars missions weren't built
in a day!
PURPOSE
The purpose of the Second Biennial Space Human Factors Workshop is to facilitate
communication among Space
Human Factors researchers, practitioners, managers, and customers.
WHO
SHOULD ATTEND?
Attendance at the Second Biennial Space Human Factors Workshop is by invitation
only. A meeting of the Space
Human Factors Science and Technical Working Group is scheduled for January 25
immediately following the
Workshop. The presence of this advisory group and NASA managers at the Workshop,
as well as the presentation
of all NASA-funded space human factors research will afford the ideal opportunity
for the space human factors
community to gather for formal and informal discussion. We encourage principal
investigators to bring (at their
own expense) their co-investigators and students.
FORMAT
The Workshop format will provide ample opportunity for informal discussions
among the participants. Presenters
(funded Space Human Factors NRA and Technology Development Project principal
investigators) are asked to
make an oral talk (maximum of 15 minutes) and a poster presentation; this format
will allow the Workshop audience
to engage in more thorough discussion with the presenters during the poster
sessions.
REGISTRATION
Though there
is no registration fee, all attendees will be asked to submit a response
form indicating their interest
in participating in the workshop by January 14, 2001. Due to building space
constraints, the Workshop is limited
to 80 participants.

PRESENTATIONS
