Adrian D. LeBlanc, Ph.D. was named Director of the DSLS on February 28, 2002. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Iowa State University, and the University of Kansas. In addition to his DSLS directorship, he is a Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. LeBlanc brings to the DSLS considerable experience with both ground-based and onboard space flight experiments. His primary research interests have investigated the loss and recovery of bone and muscle tissue in weightlessness.
