14th Space Radiation Health Investigators' Workshop

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS:
USRA has secured a block of rooms for the Workshop at South Shore Harbour Resort and Conference Center.

You may make reservations by contacting the hotel directly. Please remember to specify the room block as "Radiation" to receive the special Workshop rate of $89* per night (plus applicable state and local tax of 12%). This rate will be available only until April 1, 2003. Reservations received after April 1 will be accepted on a space available basis only at the room rate applicable at that time. All reserved guest rooms are guaranteed for late arrival. Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to arrival. Check-in time is 3:00 p.m.; check-out time is noon. No-shows will be billed for the first night's stay.

From William P. Hobby Airport:
Exiting Hobby Airport, turn left on Airport Boulevard and travel east to the intersection of I-45/Airport Blvd. Turn right onto the feeder of I-45 South, enter the freeway, and travel south (approximately 14 miles) to Exit 23 (League City, Kemah, and FM 518). Go left under the underpass (East) on FM 518, also known as Main Street, for approximately four miles. Continue to go straight on Main Street as it becomes FM 2094 and Marina Bay Drive; do not follow FM 518 as it veers off to the right. Drive approximately one mile on FM 2094/Marina Bay Drive to its intersection with South Shore Blvd. Turn left on South Shore Blvd. to approach the hotel, an 11-story red brick building between two white office buildings. Free parking is available outside the hotel and underneath it.

From George Bush Intercontinental Airport:
Follow Airport exit signs to U.S. Highway 59 S/Eastex Freeway by driving east on the Will Clayton Parkway, or by driving south on John F. Kennedy Blvd. and turning left on Beltway 8 (East) to U.S. Highway 59 S/Eastex Freeway. Enter U.S. Highway 59 S/Eastex Freeway and drive south (approximately 13.5 miles) to I-45 South/US-75/Gulf Freeway. Enter I-45 South and travel south (approximately 22 miles) to Exit 23 (League City, Kemah, and FM 518). Go left under the underpass (East) on FM 518, also known as Main Street, for approximately four miles. AIRPORT SHUTTLE:
Limited complimentary airport transportation from Hobby Airport or Ellington Field is provided by Clear Lake Shuttle Bus, Inc. for hotel guests. Please click on the attached shuttle schedule. Reservations for this service are required 48 hours in advance. Please call 281-334-3873 to make your airport shuttle reservations; remember to specify that you are with the “Radiation Group” when you make your reservations and when you board the van. Neither South Shore Harbour Resort & Conference Center nor Clear Lake Shuttle Bus, Inc. assumes responsibility for alternate transportation reimbursement for guests who miss a scheduled pick-up. Transportation charges are separate from hotel charges and will not be placed on your hotel account. There are no complimentary runs on Wednesdays, but arrangements for shuttle service to Hobby Airport or Ellington Field may be made by calling 281-334-3873.

Workshop attendees are individually responsible for transportation fees to and from George Bush Intercontinental Airport. Clear Lake Shuttle Bus, Inc. (281-334-3873) charges $85.00 (plus $10.00 for each additional person) for service to and from George Bush Intercontinental Airport.
