Lealem Mulugeta holds a M.Sc. in Space Studies from the International Space University (ISU), and a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (Aerospace Option) from University of Manitoba. While attending ISU, Lealem focused his academic work in EVA research, and completed an internship with USRA DSLS and the NASA EVA Physiology, Systems and Performance group. He currently supports the documentation of the Quantitative Human Physiology (QHP) model, which is the backbone for the NASA Digital Astronaut Project.
