Hatem N. Nounu received his B.S., M.E., in electrical engineering from the University of Houston, TX in 1993 and 1995, respectively.  He worked for PDF Solutions, San Jose, CA, as a consulting engineer for the semiconductor industry before he earned his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Houston in 2005.  Between 2005 and 2007, he worked as a senior research scientist at the Electrical Engineering Department of the University of Houston on the development of research programs in the nanofabrication technology. The focus of his research was on the fabrication of nanoscale atom beam lithography masks and the development of radiation-resistant coatings. In 2007, he moved to the Space Radiation Project at NASA JSC to work on the 3-D modeling of spacecrafts for radiation shielding quantification at Wyle. Dr. Nounu recently joined USRA where he is to continue the research in the radiation analysis software development.
