2005 NASA SPACE RADIATION SUMMER SCHOOL
AT THE BROOKHAVEN NATIONAL LABORATORY
The NASA Space Radiation Summer School at the U.S. Department of Energy's Brookhaven National Laboratory was designed to provide a “pipeline” of researchers to tackle the challenges of harmful radiation exposure to humans who will travel on space exploration missions. Co-sponsored by NASA's Space Radiation Health Project, Brookhaven National Laboratory, Loma Linda University Medical Center, and Universities Space Research Association, the three-week course was piloted in 2004 and offered from May 26 to June 17, 2005 at the Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) on Long Island, New York.
