APPLICATION

Individuals interested in applying for an available Student Research Program position will need to download and complete the four application documents posted below. The required documents should be submitted together in one complete package via postal mail or hand delivery to the following address, except for the Letter of Support form which must be e-mailed to USRA by the faculty member.

Each applicant will receive an application receipt via e-mail that will indicate which application items have been received and which are missing. Only complete application packages will be considered.

Application Instructions

  1. Download the following four application documents. The forms are available as either a Microsoft Word document or a PDF file.
    2. Application Checklist MS Word PDF
    Application for Student Employment form (required) MS Word PDF
    Letter of Support form (required) MS Word  
    Equal Employment Opportunity Data form (optional)   PDF
  2. All forms, except the Equal Employment Opportunity Data form, can be completed electronically using Microsoft Word or simply printed and completed by hand.

  3. Fill out the Application Form, print, then sign and date on the last page of the form. Your original signature is required.

  4. Obtain copies of your current transcripts from any undergraduate or graduate institutions attended. Official, sealed transcripts are not required.

  5. Request one letter of support from an academic advisor or a faculty member using the provided Letter of Support form. This form can be completed electronically and must be e-mailed directly to recruitment@dsls.usra.edu by the faculty member or advisor.

  6. Complete the Equal Employment Opportunity Data Form. Completion of this form is entirely voluntary. Any information provided will remain confidential and will not affect your application for employment.

  7. Using the provided Application Checklist, verify that you have completed all the application requirements.

  8. Compile all the required documents in one envelope with the checklist on top and mail (or hand deliver) your application package to the address listed above and on the checklist.
