Christian M. Westby earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from the University of Puget Sound in 1997, his Masters of Science degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 1998, and his doctorate in Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado in 2009. His graduate work involved studying the effects of Endothelin-1-mediated vasoconstrictor tone in a human aging model. He joined the USRA Division of Space Life Sciences in December 2008 and serves as a Research Scientist for the Cardiovascular Laboratory at the NASA Johnson Space Center.
