Patrice O. Yarbough, Ph.D.

Patrice O. Yarbough, Ph.D.Dr. Yarbough earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Houston.  After a NIH Post-Doctoral fellowship, she held positions in research and research administration at biotech companies Genelabs Technologies Inc. and Tanox, Inc.  She is co-inventor on eight U.S. patents for the hepatitis E virus and has published over 40 publications on Hepatitis E and the virus that causes disease.  At UT Medical Branch at Galveston, she was responsible for promoting the growth of basic and clinical research programs.

Dr. Patrice O. Yarbough joined USRA in October 2008 as a Senior Research Scientist. She serves as Deputy Project Scientist for the Flight Analog Project in the Human Adaptation and Countermeasures Division.
